We celebrate Pride

At Star, we believe that our people are happiest they can bring their authentic self to work. We strive to create an environment where every person can express themselves and we take active steps to make our LGBT+  employees feel valued, welcomed and equal at the workplace.

Going forward, we have extended health insurance cover to the partners of our LGBT+ staff. The policy enables the employees to enrol their same-sex partners as dependents under this health insurance cover.

This has not been easy since most of the health insurance plans in India are traditional in their approach, offering benefits to legal dependents only. However, we worked with our insurers to structure a policy that would cater to the needs of all our employees without any discrimination.
