For the first time on Indian Television, a daily soap will have an album of 5 songs recorded exclusively for it, which is sung by Darshan Rawal, the runner up of the singing reality show, India’s Raw Star.
Uday Shankar, CEO, Star India said, “The Indian film industry is an important market for us and this strategic partnership offers us an excellent opportunity to fundamentally change the content quality paradigm. This venture is the natural step in our progression to create entertaining and eclectic content for a global audience and to grow the business through game-changing innovation in content, marketing and distribution."
A statement by the channel said, “After the resounding success of Mahabharat, we are very happy to be associated with Swastik Productions once again. At STAR Plus our philosophy is to offer existing relationships in a new lens and with this show we explore the key relationship of friendship. We aim to create characters which are real and relatable to the youth today, and we are sure that they will see a reflection of their own story in Radhika and find aspiration in Samaira.”
