Aamir Khan to spruce-up Sundays on Star Plus

   Star TV has confirmed that Aamir Khan's much awaited debut show, 'Satyamev Jayate' will be pitted in an unconventional Sunday morning slot from first week of May.

'Satyamev Jayate', which has been described as one of the network's most expensive shows to date will run over a 13-week period. Each episode will be 90-minutes in duration.

Talking to the online portal,MoneyControlabout the Sunday morning slot the show has been given, Gayatri Yadav, EVP - marketing and communications, Star India said, "We wanted a time-slot for the show where the family could come together and get involved in the show. That's how the tele-serials Ramayana and Mahabharatha captured India's imagination. And there's really no reason why we cannot try doing it again."

'Satyamev Jayate' Will be simulcast on Star Plus (Hindi), Star World (English), Star Jalsha (Bengali), Star Pravah (Marathi), Star Vijay (Tamil), Star Utsav (Hindi), Asianet (Malayalam) and Suvarna (Kannada). The channel will also provide the feed in Telugu but the network does not have a Telugu channel.

'Satyamev Jayate' will launch on Sunday 6th May at 11:00 on Star Plus.
