GEC Ratings: Star Plus sees major fall, but stays clear leader

Week 32 of TAM 2011 has not been good for almost all the Hindi general entertainment channels except COLORS. While COLORS has gained a few GRPs in this week, all other channels lost some GRPs among which Star Plus has seen a decline of 41 GRPs.

Color’s Balika Vadhu continues to be the top show with 5.2 TVR while its non-fiction show India’s Got Talent dream run continues at 3.4 in the second week. The top 5 programs of the week are Balika Vadhu (5.2), Saathiya (4.6), Yeh Rishta… (4.5), Pavitra Rishta (4.2), Pratigya (4.0).

India’s No.1 Hindi general entertainment channel Star Plushas seen a dip in its GRPs in the week 31 of TAM 2011. Star Plus has recorded 304 GRPs this week (last week 345).

The second most watched Hindi GEC Colorshas added a few GRPs this week to become the only channel to hold its viewers. The channel has recorded 269 GRPs in the week 32 of TAM 2011 (last week 266).

The No.3 Hindi GEC Zee TVhas registered decline in the second consecutive week; however, it remains at No.3 but with a margin of mere 3 points from Sony Entertainment Television. The channel has recorded 190 GRPs on TAM people meters (208 GRPs last week)

Riding on the success of its fiction show Bade Achche Lagte Hain,Sony Entertainment Televisionhas been able to hold the viewers this week also but it has registered a marginal loss of 3 GRPs. The channel has garnered 187 GRPs (last week 190).

SABTVhas recorded 124 GRPs (last week 125).

India’s No.6 Hindi general entertainment channelImagine TVhas recorded 70 GRPs in this week (last week 71).

Star One has recorded 36 GRPs in week 32 of TAM 2011 (last week 37).
