GEC Watch: Life OK returns to No. 3 position

Sony adds maximum 51 TVMs on the back of television premiere of Dhoom 3 but remains at No. 5 in Week 26.

Life OK has beaten Colors yet again to become No. 3 Hindi GEC in Week 26 of TAM 2014. Sony Entertainment Television added maximum 51 TVMs to its gross viewership on the back of world television premiere of Dhoom 3 but the channel remained at No. 5. Zee TV was the third channel to add more eyeballs this week. Star Plus, Colors and SAB TV too retained their viewers.

According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 26 of TAM 2014 (June 22 – June 28) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus retained its leadership followed by Zee TV at No. 2. Life OK overtook Colors to become No. 3 GEC again. Sony and SAB TV remained at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.

Star Plus’ retained its viewership and leadership with a gross viewership of 660 GTVMs but its relative share slipped to 27.26% (last week 661 TVM with 29.07% relative share).

Zee TV grew by 23 TVM this week and recorded 423 GTVM. The channel had a relative share of 17.47% (last week 400 TVM and 17.59% relative share).

Life OK overtook Colors again and claimed third position among Hindi GECs. The channel fetched a gross viewership of 358 GTVM and a relative share of 14.79% (last week 333 TVM and 14.64%).

Colors retained its viewers but slipped one position to No. 4 with 351 GTVM. Its relative share dropped to 14.50%. (last week 351 TVM with 15.44% relative share).

Sony added maximum 51 TVM to its gross viewership. The channel grew to 349 GTVM with a relative share of 14.42%. (last week 298 TVM and 13.10% relative share).

SAB TV too held its viewership and recorded 280 TVM with a relative share of 11.57% (last week 279 TVM and 12.27% relative share).
