GEC Watch: Star Plus and Colors gain viewership in Week 12

Zee TV drops below 400-mn mark while &TV registers a slight decline in its third week.

Star Plus and Colors were the only two Hindi general entertainment channels to add viewership this week. While Star Plus added 32 TVM, Colors gained 29 TVM.
According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 12 of TAM 2015 (March 15 – March 21) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus strengthened its leadership position by adding maximum eyeballs followed by Colors at No. 2. Zee TV dropped below 400-mn mark. Life OK stayed put at No. 4, while SAB TV, Sony and &TV were at No. 5, No. 6 and No. 7, respectively.
Star Plus recorded a gross viewership of 624 GTVM with a relative share of 26.53% (last week 592 GTVM).
Colors strengthened its position at No. 2 with a gross viewership of 457 GTVM with a relative share of 19.43% (last week 428 GTVM).
Zee TV witnessed decline in its viewership this week and slipped below 400-mn mark. The channel recorded 394 GTVM with a relative share of 16.75% (last week 407 GTVM).
Life OK recorded a gross viewership of 302 GTVM and a relative share of 12.84% (last week 307 TVM).
SAB TV witnessed further decline in its viewership this week and recorded 275 GTVM with 11.69% relative share (last week 288 GTVM).
Sony witnessed maximum loss this week and recorded a gross viewership of 201 GTVM with relative share of 8.55% (last week 221 GTVM).
&TV witnessed a slight decline in its gross viewership in third week. The channel recorded 99 GTVM with a relative share of 4.21% (last week 105 TVM).
