GEC Watch: Star Plus breaches 600-mn mark again; SAB TV retains No. 4 position

All the major Hindi GECs witnessed growth in their viewership in Week 44. Among the smaller GECs, Big Magic stayed ahead of Zindagi and Sony Pal.

Star Plus gained maximum viewership in Week 44 of TAM 2014 and breached the 600-million mark substantially recording 655 GTVM. There was no change in the pecking order.
According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 44 of TAM 2014 (October 25 – October 30) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus strengthened its leadership position followed by Colors at No. 2 and Zee TV at No. 3. SAB TV, Life OK and Sony were at No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.
Star Plus recorded a gross viewership of 655 GTVM with a relative share of 25.87% (last week 595 GTVM and 25.59% of relative share).
Colors came in with a gross viewership of 457 GTVM with a relative share of 18.05% (last week 432 GTVM and 18.58% of relative share).
At No. 3, Zee TV recorded a gross viewership of 405 GTVM with 16.00% relative share (last week 394 GTVM and 16.95% relative share).
SAB TV added gross viewership of 307 GTVM with 12.12% relative share. (Last week 287 GTVM and 12.34% of relative share).
Life OK was at No. 5 with a gross viewership of 305 GTVM. The channel had a relative share of 12.05% (last week 257 TVM and 11.05% of relative share).
Sony recorded viewership of 285 GTVM with a relative share of 11.26% (last week 248 GTVM and 10.67% of relative share).
Big Magic recorded viewership of 56 GTVM with a relative share of 2.21% (last week 59 GTVM and relative share 2.54%)
Sony Pal fetched 31 GTVM with a relative share of 1.22% (last week 26 GTVM and 1.12% of relative share).
Zindagi too witnessed a growth in viewership and recorded 31 GTVM with a relative share of 1.22% (last week 27 GTVM and 1.16% of relative share).
