GEC Watch: Star Plus’ ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ regains top slot

Star Plus and Zee TV hold 4 slots each in the top 10 weekday shows. Zee has 3 shows in among the top 5 in Week 38 of TAM 2014.

According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 38 of TAM 2014 (September 14 – September 20) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus regained the top slot in weekday programming with ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ topping the chart. The channel had 4 shows in the top 10. However, Zee TV’s dream run continued as the channel held 3 shows in the top 5 and 4 shows in the top 10. Colors and SAB TV had one show each among the top 10 weekday shows.
‘Jhalak Dikhhla Ja’ on Colors topped the weekend chart in its finale week pushing ‘Comedy Night with Kapil’ at No. 2 position.

Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum became the top show in week 38. The show recorded an average viewership of 8.1 TVM this week (last week 7.7 TVM).
Kumkum Bhagya on Zee TV held No. 2 position with an average viewership of 7.8 TVM (last week 8.4 TVM).
Zee TV’s Jodha Akbar slipped one position to No. 3 with an average viewership of 7.7 TVM (last week 7.9 TVM).
Star Plus’ Sathiya Saath Nibhana witnessed its decline in viewership but still managed to hold No. 4 position with an average viewership of 7.1 TVM (last week 7.7 TVM).
Jamai Raja on Zee TV grew to No. 5 position this week. The show grew to 7 TVM (last week 6.7 TVM).
Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai was at No. 6 position this week. The show recorded an average viewership of 6.4 TVM (last week 6.6 TVM).
Colors’ Sasural Simar Ka is at the position No. 7 with an average viewership of 6.2 TVM (last week 6.2 TVM).
Tarak Mehta on SAB TV slipped 3 positions to No. 8 with an average viewership of 6.1 TVM against last week’s 7.3 TVM.
Ye Hai Mohabbatein on Star Plus is back to the top-10 club with an average viewership of 5.7 TVM (last week 5.2).
Qubool Hai on Zee TV slippedone position but made it to top-10 list with an average viewership of 5.4 TVM (last week 5.8 TVM).
Weekend toppers
Jhalak Dikhhla Ja on Colors topped the weekend chart in its finale week. The show fetched an average viewership of 4.3 TVM (last week 4.1).
Colors’ Comedy Nights With Kapil fetched an average viewership of 4 TVM (last week 6).
Sony’s crime series, CID, fetched 3.5 TVM against last week’s 3.2 TVM.
Star Plus’ new weekend singing reality show, India’s Raw Star, grew to 3.4 TVM in its third week (last week 3.1 TVM).
Life OK’s Dare to Dance has dropped to 2.5 TVM against last week’s 2.9 TVM.
Zee TV’s Neeli Chhatri Wale has moved at 3.3 TVM (last week 2.9 TVM).
Shapath on Life Ok was unmoved at 2.2 TVM (last week 2.2).
Airlines on Star Plus fetched 2.5 TVM (last week 3.5).
Colors’ The Anupam Kher Show declined to 1.7 TVM (last week 1.8 TVM).
Sony’s crime show, Crime Patrol was unmoved at 1.8 TVM (last week 1.8 TVM).
India’s Best Cine Star Ki Khoj on Zee TV remained at the same position with 1.5 TVM (last week 1.5 TVM).
