GEC Watch: Star Plus only gainer; Colors returns to No. 2

?Among the newer channels, Big Magic adds eyeballs. Zee TV closely follows Colors at No. 3 while Life OK retains No. 4 position in Week 6 of TAM 2015.

Star Plus was the only gainer among the top Hindi general entertainment channels in Week 6 of TAM 2015. Besides Star Plus, Big Magic too added a few eyeballs.
According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 6 of TAM 2015 (February 1 – February 7) for CS 4+, HSM markets, while Star Plus strengthened its leadership position, Colors returned to No. 2 position replacing Zee TV. Life OK retained No. 4 position, followed by SAB TV and Sony at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.
Star Plus strengthened its leadership by adding 29 TVM in its gross viewership. The channel grew to 645 GTVM with a relative share of 25.85% (last week 616 GTVM).
Despite a drop in its gross viewership, Colors returned at No. 2 position with 454 GTVM. The channel had a relative share of 18.2% (last week 477 GTVM).
Zee TV slipped to No. 3 position this week by losing 34 TVM. The channel recorded 451 GTVM with a relative share of 18.08% (last week 485 GTVM).
Life OK retained No. 4 position despite a drop in its gross viewership. The channel had a gross viewership of 310 GTVM and a relative share of 12.42% (last week 338 TVM).
SAB TV recorded 294 GTVM with 11.78% relative share (last week 294 GTVM).
Sony’s gross viewership dropped to 236 GTVM and its relative share jumped to 9.46% (last week 263 GTVM).
Big Magic grew to 53 GTVM and a relative share of 2.12% (last week 42 GTVM).
Sony Pal recorded a gross viewership of 26 GTVM with a relative share of 1.04% (last week 29 GTVM).
Zindagi stayed at 18 GTVM with a relative share of 0.72% (last week 18 GTVM).
Epic recorded a gross viewership of 7.7 GTVM against last week’s 8.1 GTVM.
