GEC Watch: Star Plus reclaims weekday top slot

Star Plus had 5 shows in top 10 weekday shows followed by Zee TV and Colors with two shows each in Week 8 of TAM 2015.

Week 8 of TAM 2015 saw Star Plus’ fiction show Saathiya taking the top slot while the channel strengthened its dominance in weekday programming with five shows in the top 10 club.
According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 8 of TAM 2015 (February 15 – February 21) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Zee TV and Colors had two shows each in the top 10 club leaving one slot for SAB TV.
Aahat on Sony opened with an average of 2.8 TVM.
Among weekend shows, ‘Comedy Night with Kapil’ on Colors returned at the top pushing ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ at No. 2.

Sathiya Saath Nibhana on Star Plus jumped two positions to take the top slot this week. The show recorded an average viewership of 10.1 TVM (last week 9 TVM).
Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum remained at No. 2 with an average viewership of 10 TVM this week (last week 9.4 TVM).
Kumkum Bhagya on Zee TV slipped two positions to No. 3. The show garnered an average viewership of 9.4 TVM (last week 9.6 TVM).
Ye Hai Mohabbatein on Star Plus jumped one position to No. 4 this week. The show fetched an average viewership of 8.9 TVM this week (last week 8.5 TVM).
Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai slipped one position to No. 5 with an average viewership of 8.4 TVM (last week 8.6 TVM).
Sasural Simar Ka on Colors climbed three positions to No. 6. The show garnered an average viewership of 8.2 TVM (last week 7 TVM).
Zee TV’s Jamai Raja slipped one position to No. 7 with an average viewership of 7.3 TVM (last week 7.6 TVM).
Star Plus’ Tu Mera Hero was No. 8 position with an average viewership of 7.1 TVM (last week 7.1 TVM).
Tarak Mehta on SAB TV slipped two positions to No. 9 with an average viewership of 6.8 TVM (last week 7.2 TVM).
Udaan on Colors returned to the top 10 club this week with an average viewership of 6.2 TVM.
Weekend toppers
Comedy Nights with Kapil on Colors was the weekend chart topper this week with 6.2 TVM (last week 5.2 TVM).
Colors’ flagship weekend show, ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi – Darr Ka Blockbuster Returns’, slipped to No. 2 with 6 TVM in its third week (last week 6.3 TVM).
Zee TV’s Neeli Chhatri Wale recorded 4.1 TVM (last week 4.4 TVM).
Sony’s crime series, CID, fetched an average viewership of 4 TVM (last week 4.3 TVM).
Zee TV’s flagship singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champsdropped to 3.7 TVM (last week 3.9 TVM).
Aahat on Sony opened at an average viewership of 2.8 TVM this week.
Sony’s other crime series, Crime Patrol, had an average viewership of 2.7 TVM (last week 2.7 TVM).
