GEC Watch: Star Plus, Zee TV dominate weekday top 10 as Colors does a no-show

Star Plus had five shows in weekday top 10 list followed by Zee TV with 4 shows in Week 48 of TAM 2014.

Star Plus and Zee TV increased their dominance in weekday programming in Week 48 of TAM 2014 as Colors failed to have a single show among the top 10. According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 48 of TAM 2014 (November 23 – November 29) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus had five shows in weekday top 10 list followed by Zee TV with four shows. SAB TV’s Tarak Mehta continued to be in the top 10 club this week.
‘Bigg Boss Season 8’ on Colors stayed at an average viewership of 5.1 TVM.
‘Comedy Night with Kapil’ continued to rule the weekend programming with an average viewership of 6.6 TVM followed by Zee TV’s Neeli Chhatri Wale at 3.7 TVM.

Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum continued to top the weekday top 10 chart with an average viewership of 12.9 TVM this week (last week 13.4 TVM).
Ye Hai Mohabbatein on Star Plus strengthened its position at No. 2 with an average viewership of 9.9 TVM this week (last week 9.3 TVM).
Kumkum Bhagya on Zee TV rose one position to No. 3 this week and recorded an average viewership of 8.3 TVM (last week 8 TVM).
Tarak Mehta on SAB TV jumped four positions to No. 4 this week by fetching an average viewership of 8.3 TVM (last week 7.2 TVM).
Sathiya Saath Nibhana on Star Plus slipped two positions to No. 5. The show had recorded an average viewership of 8.2 TVM (last week 8.8 TVM).
Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai slipped one position to No. 6 this week with an average viewership of 7.6 TVM (last week 7.7 TVM).
Zee TV’s Jodha Akbar held No. 7 position with an average viewership of 7.4 TVM (last week 7.3 TVM).
Jamai Raja on Zee TV was at No. 8 with an average viewership of 6.9 TVM against last week’s 7.1 TVM.
Ek Hasina Thi on Star Plus returned to the top-10 club this week at No. 9 with an average viewership of 6.8 TVM (last week 6.7 TVM).
Qubool Hai on Zee TV also entered at No. 10 with an average viewership of 6.7 TVM (last week 6.5 TVM).
Weekend toppers
Comedy Nights with Kapil on Colors retained the top position among weekend shows. The show fetched an average viewership of 6.6 TVM (last week 6.4 TVM).
Zee TV’s Neeli Chhatri Wale dropped to 3.7 TVM this week (last week 4.2 TVM).
Sony’s crime series, CID, fetched 3.4 TVM against last week’s 3.6 TVM.
Comedy Classes on Life OK grew to 2.4 TVM (last week 2.2).
India’s Raw Star on Star Plus also grew to 2.4 TVM this week (last week 1.8 TVM).
Sony’s other crime series, Crime Patrol, improved its average viewership to 2.4 TVM (last week 1.5 TVM).
Maharakshak Aryan on Zee TV dropped to 2.2 TVM (last week 2.6 TVM).
Star Plus’ Airlines fetched 2 TVM (last week 1.7 TVM).
