GEC Watch: Weekday fictions on Star Plus hit a peak

Star Plus leads weekday programming with five shows in top 10 followed by Zee TV and Colors with 2 shows each in Week 46.

Star Plus witnessed a strong surge in viewership of its weekday fiction shows as they reached peak ratings in Week 46 of TAM 2014. Star Plus weekday fiction was at 438 GTVMs with Diya Aur Baati Hum touching 14 TVM mark.
According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 46 of TAM 2014 (November 9 – November 15) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus dominated weekday programming with 5 shows in top 10 list. Zee TV and Colors had two shows each.
SAB TV’s Tarak Mehta returned to the top 10 club this week.
‘Bigg Boss Season 8’ on Colors retained an average viewership of 4.9 TVM.
‘Comedy Night with Kapil’ continued to rule the weekend programming with an average viewership of 6.1 TVM followed by Zee TV’s Neeli Chhatri Wale at 4.2 TVM.

Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum touched the 14 TVM mark this week and recorded an average viewership of 14 TVM this week (last week 11.6 TVM).
Ye Hai Mohabbatein on Star Plus held No. 2 position with an average viewership of 9.6 TVM this week (last week 8.9 TVM).
Sathiya Saath Nibhana on Star Plus also recorded an average viewership of 9.6 TVM (last week 8.8 TVM).
Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai jumped one position to No. 4 this week with an average viewership of 8 TVM (last week 7.3 TVM).
Colors’ Sasural Simar Ka also jumped one positions to No. 5 with an average viewership of 7.7 TVM (last week 7.1 TVM).
Zee TV’s Jodha Akbar slipped two positions to No. 6. The show recorded an average viewership of 7.6 TVM (last week 7.7 TVM).
Udaan on Colors jumped two positions to No. 7 this week. The show recorded an average viewership of 7.3 TVM (last week 6.4 TVM).
Tarak Mehta on SAB TV entered the top-10 club this week with an average viewership of 7.1 TVM (last week 6.5 TVM).
Kumkum Bhagya on Zee TV slipped one position to No. 9 with an average viewership of 6.8 TVM (last week 6.4 TVM).
Ek Hasina Thi on Star Plus was at No. 10 position with an average viewership of 6.7 TVM against last week’s 6.1 TVM.
Weekend toppers
Comedy Nights with Kapil on Colors retained the top position among weekend shows. The show fetched an average viewership of 6.1 TVM (last week 6.4 TVM).
Zee TV’s Neeli Chhatri Wale recorded a viewership of 4.2 TVM (last week 3.4 TVM).
Sony’s crime series, CID, fetched 3.1 TVM against last week’s 3.4 TVM.
Maharakshak Aryan on Zee TV stayed at 3 TVM.
Dil Se Naache Indiwaale on Zee TV fetched 2.4 TVM from last week’s 2.7 TVM.
Comedy Classes on Life OK fetched 2.1 TVM (last week 2.1).
India’s Raw Star on Star Plus also fetched 2 TVM this week (last week 2.3 TVM).
Star Plus’ Airlines fetched 1.5 TVM (last week 1.8 TVM).
Sony’s other crime series, Crime Patrol, dropped to 1.4 TVM (last week 2 TVM).
