GEC Watch: Zee TV’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ tops weekday programming

Filmfare Awards on Sony fetched 5.7 TVM in Week 7 of TAM 2014. Colors rules weekend.

Even as Star Plus dominated weekday programming with its 5 shows among the top 10, Zee TV strengthened its position with three shows in the top 10. Not only that, Zee TV’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ was the topper among weekday shows.
According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 7 of TAM 2015 (February 8 – February 14) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Colors and SAB TV had one show each in the top 10 club.
The Filmfare Awards on Sony garnered 5.7 TVM.
Among weekend shows, Colors held the top two slots with ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ as the chart topper in its second week, followed by ‘Comedy Night with Kapil’.
Weekday toppers (all data in TVM, 000000’s)
Kumkum Bhagya on Zee TV topped the weekday programming chart with an average viewership of 9.6 TVM (last week 8.9 TVM).
Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum slipped one position to No. 2 with an average viewership of 9.4 TVM this week (last week 10.9 TVM).
Sathiya Saath Nibhana on Star Plus held No. 3 position with an average viewership of 9 TVM (last week 9 TVM).
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on Star Plus rose one position No. 4 with an average viewership of 8.6 TVM (last week 8.6 TVM).
Ye Hai Mohabbatein on Star Plus slipped three positions to No. 5 this week. The show fetched an average viewership of 8.5 TVM this week (last week 9.1 TVM).
Zee TV’s Jamai Raja jumped one position to No. 6 with an average viewership of 7.6 TVM (last week 7.3 TVM).
Tarak Mehta on SAB TV also grew one position to No. 7 with an average viewership of 7.2 TVM (last week 7.3 TVM).
Star Plus’ Tu Mera Hero grew to No. 8 position with an average viewership of 7.1 TVM (last week 7.1 TVM).
Sasural Simar Ka on Colors slipped three positions to No. 9. The show garnered an average viewership of 7 TVM (last week 7.8 TVM).
Qubool Hai was the third show from Zee TV in top-10 club. The show had an average viewership of 6.7 TVM.
Weekend toppers
Colors’ flagship weekend show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi – Darr Ka Blockbuster Returns’ settled at 6.3 TVM in its second week after a grand opening at 8.6 TVM.
Comedy Nights with Kapil on Colors fetched 5.2 TVM (last week 5.9 TVM).
Zee TV’s Neeli Chhatri Wale stayed at 4.4 TVM (last week 4.4 TVM).
Sony’s crime series, CID, fetched an average viewership of 4.3 TVM (last week 4.2 TVM).
Zee TV’s flagship singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champsdropped to 3.9 TVM (last week 4.1 TVM).
Bhanwar on Sony recorded 1.6 TVM this week (last week 2 TVM).
Sony’s other crime series, Crime Patrol, had an average viewership of 1.4 TVM (last week 1.6 TVM).
