Homi Adajania Releases Quirky ‘Finding Fanny’ Trailer

30 July 2014

Homi Adajania’s quirky comedy, “Finding Fanny’s” trailer is out — the trailer was released to fanfare July 9. The film narrates the story of five oddball people, played by Arjun Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Dimple Kapadia, Naseeruddin Shah and Pankaj Kapur, who set out on a road trip to find love. Ranveer Singh makes a special appearance.

Describing his five dysfunctional protagonists in a press release, Adajania says, “Love makes normal people do nutty things. But what if they were already a little nutty to begin with? My producer, Dinesh Vijan, knew I would drive him insane and went out on a limb to back me.”

Vijay Singh, CEO of Fox Star Studios, adds, “We are very proud of this film. We are releasing the film in English and Hindi and I can assure you that the film will leave everyone in splits.”

Vijan says, “Homi made ‘Cocktail’ for me and I’m making “Finding Fanny” for him. He would have actually killed me if I had not made this film. Sometimes you just have to embrace the madness or you'll go mad yourself. And as much fun as ‘Finding Fanny’ is, what appealed to me was the absurdly fresh way love, heartache and happiness have been explored. The characters are as dysfunctional as my director is!”

A Maddock production, the film releases Sept. 12.

Sanjay Gupta, chief operating officer (COO) of Star India said that October 2014 is a realistic deadline for BARC.
