Appreciating the efforts of Star Plus and Aamir Khan to make the people aware of the numerous problems that plague the country through the show ‘Satyamev Jayate’, Ketan Mehta presented the Satyamev Jayate team with a special film that highlights the overwhelming response generated by the show on Twitter.

The seven-minute long film can be viewed across different social media platforms.

According to Ketan Mehta, Chairman & Managing Director, Maya Digital Studios, “‘Satyamev Jayate’ has transformed the way television as a medium is viewed and has contributed to the greater good of the society. It is our tribute to a show which has sparked off a revolution.”

“At Maya, we have pioneered the art and technology for animation and visual effects in India; and ‘Satyamev Jayate’ provided us with the opportunity to use visual effects technology to convey the essence and the impact of the show,” Mehta added.

Is the Media in trouble? Mumbai Press Club holds discussion on subject

Uday Shankar, Star India CEO said, “Just because the media has become capital-intensive, doesn’t mean that it has to compromise on your integrity. Every business has to have a value system, and the editor needs to be sensitive to that. Journalists need to wake up to the economic reality, and it can’t be denied. On the other hand, those who recognise that are willing to swing to the other extreme and do anything. That also is neither healthy nor sustainable.”
