Koffee with Karan premieres on Dec. 1

29 November 2013

Filmmaker Karan Johar is back with the 4th edition of ‘Koffee with Karan’. Premiering on December 1, 2013, at 9 PM, the all-new season of the show will go on air on Star World.

With a star-studded guest-list and a new set, Season 4 of the popular talk show will see a host of new guests grace the sets with the kick-off episode starring the inimitable Salman Khan. Salman has never been a guest on the show before and Season 4 is sure to keep viewers glued to their screens as the elusive Khan lets his guard down for Karan.

A sure-fire indicator of the impending season being a huge hit is its intriguing tagline – ‘Behind the Scenes, Beneath the Sheets’. The show promises a generous serving of fiery revelations and drama with some of the sauciest gossip Bollywood has to offer.

Speaking on the new season, Johar said, “The new season is going to be the most exciting yet, with a host of new guests, a fantastic set and some great conversations.”

Kevin Vaz, General Manager – English channels, Star India, said, “Koffee with Karan is the only show where Bollywood’s biggest celebrities are willing to give viewers an insight into their lives. As he returns with his fourth season to Star World, Karan has taken it up a notch and will be seen talking to several new faces on the show. Karan is an extremely engaging host and his show has proven to be one of the most entertaining one’s on television till date.”

Ushering in the latest season, the director-host surprised viewers with a special Broadway style promo which went on air earlier this month. The latest edition of the show is building up to be one of the most exciting seasons yet.

Is the Media in trouble? Mumbai Press Club holds discussion on subject

Uday Shankar, Star India CEO said, “Just because the media has become capital-intensive, doesn’t mean that it has to compromise on your integrity. Every business has to have a value system, and the editor needs to be sensitive to that. Journalists need to wake up to the economic reality, and it can’t be denied. On the other hand, those who recognise that are willing to swing to the other extreme and do anything. That also is neither healthy nor sustainable.”
