Adding to its bouquet of shows, STAR Pravah is now set to launch first of its kind crime drama series titled Lakshya. This is a unique crime series starring a competent police team that will solve one intriguing case in every episode. The team of five is led by ACP Abhay Kirtikar played by Ashok Samarth who has also starred in flick Singham. Actress Aditi Sarangdhar makes a comeback to television as police inspector Saloni Deshmukh and Jagganath Nivangune will be seen as sub inspector Virendra Kadam. Kamlesh Sawant and Mandar Kulkarni will essay constable Maruti Jagdale and ethical hacker Manas respectively. The team solves a new case and tactfully battles it out with the criminals. The teammembers share a common goal - eradicating crime and they will go to any extent to ensure that justice is served. Nachiket Pantvaidya, General Manager, STAR Pravah says, "Lakshya is a fast-paced narrative and its action packed sequences will differentiate it completely from other fictional shows on Marathi GECs. We are confident of a positive response from our audiences."

Yogesh Manwani, the channel's VP Marketing and Communications, adds, "With this offering, we will cater to the needs of our viewers for varied entertainment and widen our appeal amongst the Maharashtrian viewers." Shrabani Deodhar, Head of Programming, says, "With Lakshya, we will present a very captivating narrative through crime-related stories. The talented cast of the show will hold the audience's attention and make them feel involved in the whodunit with every single episode. These gripping crime stories will be quite a treat for our viewers. We wish to bring out the grit, dedication and passion that make the police, the backbone of our society." Produced by Aadesh Bandekar's Soham Productions, the show has been shot extensively on outdoor locations and with latest technology. Tune into Lakshya on August 25, Thursday to Friday at 9.30 pm only on STAR Pravah.
