Life OK Ready with Comedy Classes

The channel is launching its first ever sitcom, 'Comedy Classes', with popular comedy stars of television. The show will air Monday to Friday at 10 pm.
Life OK, the second rung Hindi general entertainment channel from the Star India stable, is ready to increase the dose of comedy for the Indian TV viewers. Breaking away from the usual practice of airing comedy on weekends, the channel is launching a daily sitcom with the popular TV comedy stars. 
Produced by Optimystix, the sitcom is about an acting school called 'Ache Din Institute' with a crazy bunch of teachers and students. The show is titled 'Comedy Classes' and will air Monday to Friday at 10 pm, starting October 7.
The class consists of mad teachers such as Krushna (plays an artful acting coach who is a struggling actor himself and does odd jobs for a living), Bharti (plays the dance instructor, whose contemporaries include Saroj Khan and Farah Khan), the 'Kanjus' but romantic old music master Sudesh (who never misses a chance to mix two songs to create his 'original' compositions and the Urdu expert from Pakistan, Shakeel Siddiqui (who can speak no more than seven sentences in Urdu).
Ajit Thakur, EVP and GM, Life OK and Channel V says, "Comedy Classes will see us bringing the sitcom genre back to Indian television. With the biggest names of Indian comedy - Krushna, Bharti, Sudesh and Shakeel - the show promises to be one of the most awaited offerings for the viewers."
Vipul D Shah and Sanjiv Sharma, producers, Optimystix, add, "Comedy Classes is a very entertaining concept of mad teachers and students who will bring the house down with laughter through their weird classroom sessions. With a strong creative idea and a powerhouse of talent, we are sure the audiences will love our new age classes."
The classroom also includes a crazy bunch of students such as Bruna Abdullah (the firangi student who thinks if 'Katrina didi' and 'Jacqueline didi' could establish themselves in the industry, so can she) and Madhura Naik (the Tollywood Nurse who wants to make her name as a nurse in Bollywood).
