Life OK Replaces 'Mahadev' with 'Mahakumbh'

Starting December 15, the new show will air Monday to Friday at 8 pm.

Life OK's flagship mythology show 'Devon ke Dev...Mahadev' is finally coming to an end after a successful three years run. The show was one of the firsts of the channel when it launched and created its mark as popular and one of the top rated shows in the space.
The culmination of Mahadev will now pave way to begin another tale, 'Mahakumbh- Ek Rahasya, Ek Kahani'. Produced by Arvind Babbal Productions, the show will go on air from December 15 and air Monday to Friday at 8 pm.
The show will witness actor Gautam Rode as the lead protagonist in a heroic avatar. With Mahakumbh, actress Seema Biswas will make her television debut. Actors Payal Rajput, Manish Wadhwa, Robin Das, Ketki Dave and child actor Siddharth Nigam will also be seen essaying pivotal roles.
While Mahadev captured victory of good over evil, Mahakumbh will showcase the journey of Rudra (Rode), an ordinary man with extraordinary powers. Rudra separates from his family as a child and meets Udiya baba (Das) who takes him to the Ghats of Varanasi where Maii-Muii (Biswas) protects and raises him. Rudra spends his childhood on the Ghats around the funeral pyres oblivious to the unprecedented powers he possesses. But he eventually discovers his purpose of existence that will lead him to the secret of Mahakumbh.
Commenting on the show, Life OK's spokesperson says, "With Devon ke Dev..Mahadev, we gave the nation an iconic character that they worshipped, loved and admired for all these years. With our latest offering, Mahakumbh, we aim to recreate the same magic by introducing the first ever contemporary mytho thriller on Indian Television, the biggest Indian legend untold and Rudra, the next Indian superhero. Shot across the world, from Poland to the Ghats of Varanasi and Mumbai, packed with breath-taking stunts, advanced technology and intriguing storyline, Mahakumbh will be a visual treat for our audiences. As we celebrate the channel's third anniversary, we aim to continue to amaze our viewers with more inspiring, thrilling and entertaining content."
The concluding episode of Devon ke Dev..Mahadev will see Mahadev (Mohit Raina) returning to the Kailash Parbhat leaving behind the materialistic world following a celebration with his people and disciples. As Mahadev disappears behind the stretch of mountains, he tells his people to always remember him with a smile on their faces.
The last day of the telecast of Mahadev is December 14.
