Star Plus takes another leap in storytelling with PHIR BHI NA MAANE…BADTAMEEZ DIL.
It is an intense and passionate love story of Abeer Malhotra, a VJ and Meher Purohit, a Business Head, who get separated because of their own misunderstandings and the manipulations of others only to meet again after seven years to resolve the unsettled issues and misunderstandings. With a staller ensemble cast, the show will be going on-air on STAR Plus from 29th of June 2015 at 8:30 pm, a prime time slot. The show is produced by the popular Saurabh Tewary of Tequila Shot Productions.
Abeer Malhotra, played by Pearl V Puri is a VJ with Groove Music Channel who leads a charming and luxurious life. Whereas Asmita Sood who plays the character of Meher Purohit, is a practical and dedicated woman who is the business head of the same music channel and has reached this pinnacle of life with a lot of hard work.
For the first time on Indian Television, a daily soap will have an album of 5 songs recorded exclusively for it, which is sung by Darshan Rawal, the runner up of the singing reality show, India’s Raw Star.
Pearl says, “Dreams do come true, at least mine has with this show which will mark my debut. I am thrilled to be associated with such an amazing production house and getting a break with STAR Plus is again an emotional moment for me. My role is so apt and just what I was looking for as I love composing songs and my character too is a musician who lives and breathes music. My character, Abeer loves the idea of companionship but not the responsibility which comes with relationships”.
Asmita says, “This was a big step for me, from movies to television but I am glad I took up this role. Just like me, Meher is also practical and career oriented so I am exploring myself through Meher' character. Also the cast and crew is really warm and accepting of me as television is new to me so I am excited to embark on a new journey that too with STAR Plus as they are the pioneers in television industry. All I want now is to wait and gauge audience’s reaction”.
