Piya Rangrezz: an intense love story of a bad boy

8 April 2015

Life OK in association with Sphereorigins brings a new fiction drama starting April 27, Monday – Friday at 9 pm

National, April, 2015: Love stories are not always as perfect as you may see from a rose-tinted glass; where a good guy meets a good looking girl and they mutually fall in love. Some love stories are imperfect, different from the usual yet endearing. Life OK’s show Piya Rangrezz is one such love story is of our lead protagonist Sher Singh who knows nothing about romance, does not follow a rule book for it and believes in expressing love in his own unique style. Sher Singh roams around with a care-a-damn attitude and nobody dares to defy him. He loses his heart to a simple girl Shraddha at the very first sight and declares his feelings to her. The show will go on air starting April 27, Monday to Friday at 9pm.

Playing the role of the rugged and boisterous Sher Singh will be Gaurav S Bajaj while debutant Kirtida Mistry will essay the character of docile Shraddha. After a brief hiatus, Narayani Shastri will make a comeback on television as Sher Singh’s mother. She will be seen playing the role of an alpha woman Bhanvri Devi, a godmother like figure who runs her business with an iron hand. She has single-handledly raised Sher Singh to make him a powerful and commanding person. Bhanvri has bestowed Sher with power and supremacy that has made him fearless and brash.

Speaking about the show, Life OK’s Spokesperson said, “Piya Rangrezz is an intense love story of young and impulsive Sher Singh and showcases his journey of reformation through self- realisation. We are excited to present a story that touches upon the importance of parenting and its role in shaping up one’s personality in the most unconventional way. The show's impressive characters and action-packed sequences will be a visual treat for our audiences.”

Producer of the show Sujoy Waddhwa of Spherorigins said, “It’s always been a good camaraderie working with Life OK. Piya Rangrezz is an unusual love story shot in UP background. The main lead, Sher Singh is a rich & powerful man who wants to win the heart of a simple and educated girl, Shraddha. We are looking forward to entertain the audience and aspire that Piya Rangrezz be yet another favourite among the viewers.”

Set in the lands of Azamgarh UP, Piya Rangrezz is a journey and reformation of a charming and powerful bad boy Sher Singh to becoming a responsible, loving husband and eventually a patriarch who even challenges his society’s incorrect notions. The story showcases how love and care for one’s companion need not necessarily make a man weaker. If channelled correctly, it can actually make him a true and complete man.

Piya Rangrezz, airs from April 27 every Monday to Friday at 9pm on Life OK
