Satyamev Jayate maintains steady growth in 7th week

Satyamev Jayatecontinues to grow in both Reach and Ratings into its 7th week of launch. Theshow has now reached out to an unprecedented 48 crore people over the first 7 episodes aired in India. As per the TAM data for week 25, Satyamev Jayate ratings grew to  4.3 TVR in HSM markets (All 4+, HSM) and a national TVR of 3.6 (All 4+, All India). These are simulcast ratings of the original episode aired on Sunday morning 11 am across 9 channels (Star Plus, Star Pravah, Star Jalsha, Star World, Star Utsav, Star Vijay, Asianet, ETV Telegu and Doordarshan).

The combined viewership over the first 7 weeks reached 13.33 crores as per the TAM universe (Original + repeat airings). This when extrapolated to All India Universe*, as per industry conversions, means that the show has reached out to 48 crore Indians since its launch. For the 7th straight week the show has delivered a robust rating of 4+ TVR (All 4+, HSM) showing a solid performance.

Satyamev Jayate has received support  at all levels from the  people to the government. The issues covered on the show have sparked a chronology of change across the country at personal and societal levels. Policy makers have also taken note and made some very positive announcements like the introduction of affordable generic medicines, the fast track court in Rajasthan to tackle the cases of female foeticide and the passing of the Sexual Offences Against Children Bill.

The show continues its historic performance in the digital space. World Screen reported that Satyamev Jayate was the most commented upon show worldwide on the internet for the month of May, ahead of all the other shows across the globe. It continues to trend at No.1 on twitter in India as well as occupy leading positions in global twitter trends every week since launch, which is completely unprecedented. The show has delivered more than 80 crore impressions in the digital space and continues to reach out to more and more people across the globe every week. Satyamev Jayate has generated Rs 3 crores in donations for various NGOs featured on the show, which will go a long way in assisting them in their endeavors at a grass root level.

Star Plus' rejigged programming pays off
