Say #IThankYou this Valentines with Star Plus!

Mumbai, 13th February 2015: This Valentine’s Day is about to get bigger and better with Star Plus’ special #IThankYou campaign and an on air celebration of love with Star Valentine’s Day – Muskurane Ki Wajah Tum Ho.

The #IThankYou campaign is a unique thought that gave Star Plus viewers the opportunity to thank their loved ones on this Valentine’s Day. The campaign was actively promoted on air and across digital platforms with four leading protagonists (Sandhya, Ishita, Nisha & Anjali) explaining the concept of #IThankU on air and urging viewers to share their picture stories with Star Plus.The select winners along with the loved ones will be given a chance to meet & greet their favourite celebrities on 14th February, 2015.

On digital the buzz was kept alive through active tweets of Star Plus celebrities of their #IThankU stories and urging fans to share the same. Exclusive vignettes of #IThankYou stories of key shows like MasterChef and Tu Mera Hero were shared across all the digital platforms. The campaign was rolled out on 4th February 2015 and will culminate on 14th February, 2015.

As an extension of the Valentines Day celebration, Star Plus will also be airing a special two and a half hour extravaganza of love with leading Star Plus couples on 15th February at 9 PM.

The Valentine Day special event will see Ishita – Raman playing the perfect hosts of the evening and performing to a medley of passionate numbers from Bollywood of 2014.  The popular jodi of Ek Veer Ki Ardaas…Veera, Gunjan (Farnaz Shetty) & Ranvi (Shivin Narang) perform to a romantic duet from Yaariyaan & Ek Villain. While, Yuvraj (Sahil Mehta) will pay a tribute to Bollywood’s most romantic voice; Arijit Singh, Everest’s trio Anjali (Shamata Anchan), Akash (Rohan Gandotra) & Arjun (Sahil Salathia) will mesmerise you with their soulful performance to the biggest hits from Aashiqui 2.

Kunwar Amar, Scarlett, Shakti Mohan and Sanam Johar will give a special performance to Bollywood hits like Subhanallah from Yeh Jawaani Hain Deewani, Raabta from Agent Vinod and many more. Television’s girl next door, Sanjeeda Sheikh will say ‘I love you’ in a never seen way before to TV’s heartthrob, Karan Wahi.

Adding the surprise element to the evening will be performances from Bollywood’s youngest super star Varun Dhawan and the scintillating diva Jacqueline Fernandez.

Star Plus general manager Gaurav Banerjee says: “The story is urban and contemporary. This love story begins after a marriage gets over. It explores the theme of a second chance in love. With well-etched characters and a strong urban narrative, the show deals with day-to-day issues faced by modern couples. We are positive that our metro audiences will see a connect with Ishita and Raman, and follow their story.”
