SOB CHORITRO KALPONIC

Show Highlights:

Sob Choritro Kalponic is a story of one girl’s journey from leading a secured, protected and fairytale life to facing the harshest reality of life. Kuhu is the modern day princess living a luxurious life unaware of the realities of the world. She falls for Dev, an honest and hardworking man with humble background. When her father disapproves of the marriage, she elopes with him. She comes back the next day to find her father murdered. What’s more, Kuhu gets incriminated for the murder and ends up behind bars. From there starts the journey of Kuhu’s coming to term with reality and picking herself together. Living upto the Chalo Paltai promise, for the first time in Bangla Entertainment, the setting of prison is used as a backdrop for a show. Ujani Dasgupta has been cast as Kuhu while Hritojeet is cast as Dev, her romantic interest. June Mallya also plays a prominent role in the show.

Story Synopsis:

Kuhu(Ujani) is the daughter of Bireshwar and Sagorika. She has been brought up with lots of love and leads a pampered life, unaware of its harsh realities. The story starts with Kuhu planning a surprise party for the 25th marriage anniversary of her parents. She tracks down all their old friends from social networking websites and invites them to the party.

While planning the party, Kuhu meets Dev who works for the event management agency. Dev is honest, handsome and hardworking, an ideal for Kuhu’s dream world of romance.  They fall in love.

The party turns out to be a great success. Among the invitees is Mallika (June) who happens to be Bireshwar’s ex-girlfriend. Mallika manages to stay in the house and after a few days Sagorika mysteriously passes away following which Mallika takes control of the entire Roychowdhury mansion.

In the meantime, the bond of love between Kuhu and Dev deepens. Kuhu’s father disapproves of the match due to class difference with Dev. Kuhu however is head over heels in love and despite her father’s reservations, she elopes with Dev.

Kuhu comes back the next day to find her father murdered. From this point on her world starts unraveling fast, as she gets incriminated for the murder. She is proven guilty and lands up behind bars. Kuhu’s dream world turns upside down in the face of this harsh reality. How will she come to terms with it? Will she be able to get a grip on herself? Will she be able to find out the truth and nail down the real culprit? 

Production Highlights:

The show is produced by Blue Water Pictures which has delivered the successful shows like Tomay Amay Mile and Aparajito. The cast comprises of Ujani Dasgupta, Hritojeet Chatterjee and June Mallya in lead roles who are sure to leave a lasting impression with their performance. For a large part the show is set inside a prison which is a first time for Star Jalsha. It will showcase the lives of the prison inmates including various cultural activities they take part in.
