Sony replaces Zee TV from No.3; decline for Star Plus and Colors

Week 33 of TAM 2011 has seen a big change in the pecking order where Sony has surprised Zee TV in the week before KBC’s launch. The channel is expected to grow more when the KBC viewership data will be released next week. Star Plus and Colors have lost 27 and 33 GRPs respectively; however, Colors latest fiction show Parichay has recorded 2.7 TVR for the opening episode while the first week average TVR remained at 2.5 TVR.

Color’s Balika Vadhu continues to be the top show with 4.8 TVR followed by Saathiya (4.6), Pavitra Rishta (4.5), Yeh Rishta… (3.9), Uttaran (3.8).

India’s No.1 Hindi general entertainment channel Star Plushas seen a dip of 27 GRPs in the week 33 of TAM 2011. The channel had lost 41 GRPs in last week also. Star Plus has recorded 277 GRPs this week (last week 304).

The second most watched Hindi GEC Colorstoo has lost 33 GRPs this week. The channel has recorded 236 GRPs in the week 33 of TAM 2011 (last week 269).

Sony Entertainment Televisionhas once again replaced Zee TV to become No.3 GEC in the week 33 of TAM 2011 in the week before KBC launch. The channel is expected to grow more with the KBC viewership data next week. Sony has recorded 195 GRPs this week (last week 187).

Now No.4 Hindi GEC Zee TVhas maintained the status quo and recorded 190 GRPs (last week 190).

SABTVhas recorded 127 GRPs (last week 124).

India’s No.6 Hindi general entertainment channelImagine TVhas recorded 71 GRPs in this week (last week 70).

Star One has recorded 36 GRPs in week 33 of TAM 2011 (last week 36) and Sahara One has recorded 36 GRPs (last week 36).
