Star Plus only gainer; Sony at No.2 in 4th week; Colors & Zee TV lose

Zee TV remains distant No.4 Hindi general entertainment channels in the Week 37 of TAM 2011.

Sony has done wonders to remain the second most watched Hindi general entertainment channel for four weeks in a row. However, the channel has lost a few GRPs along with Colors and Zee TV. On the other hand, Star Plus is the only Hindi GEC to add some GRPs this week.

The top 5 programmes for Week 37 (Sept 4 – 10) are ‘Sathiya’ (5.9 TVR), ‘KBC’ (4.8 TVR), ‘Balika Vadhu’ (4.4 TVR), ‘Uttaran’ (4.1 TVR) and ‘Pratigya’ (3.8 TVR).

By holding its viewership, India’s No.1 Hindi GECStar Plushas become the only gainer in Week 37. The channel has recorded 307 GRPs this week (last week 300).

With ‘KBC’ being the second most watched programme in the week,Sonyhas retained its No. 2 spot for the fourth consecutive week. The channel had acquired the second spot in Week 34. Sony recorded 243 GRPs (last week 258).

At No.3,Colorshas recorded 233 GRPs (last week 249 GRPs).

Now a distant No. 4,Zee TVhas recorded 182 points (last week 198).

SAB TVis continuing to lose ground and the channel has come down to 112 GRPs in week 37 of TAM (last week 117).

India’s No.6 Hindi GECImagine TVrecorded 68 GRPs during the week (last week 72).

Star Onehas recorded 41 GRPs (last week 35) andSahara Onegarnered 31 GRPs (last week 35).
