STAR Plus’ Tu Mera Hero records highest opening of 2014

~ Launched on 22nd December 2014, the show ruled the 8PM time slot on launch day ~

The numbers have spoken! STAR Plus, India’s leading Hindi General Entertainment channel, in the week 51’14 retained its numero-uno position with a soaring. This month, the channel strengthened its content portfolio with the launch of a light hearted series Tu Mera Hero.

Tu Mera Hero, which premiered on 22nd December 2014 at the 8PM time slot, opened at a staggering 7.3 TVM with an average reach of 18 m. In fact, Tu Mera Hero, a show that was launched a purpose of breaking the stereotype attached to any male protagonist on Indian Television, has recorded the highest opening of 2014 and ruled the 8PM time slot on launch day with encouraging numbers, thus showcasing that the Indian audience is accepting content that is young, vibrant and differentiated. The show also contributed to the channel’s growth with a weekly average on 5.8 TVM and reach of 14 m.
