Star TV teams up with World Food Awards 2012

Star TV has once again teamed up with the 4th annual World Food Awards, which take place on Friday 2nd November at London’s prestigious Lancaster London Hotel.

The World Food Awards are open exclusively to companies specialising, promoting or stocking products from the following communities: Asian, Oriental, African, Afro-Caribbean, European, East-European, Middle Eastern, South American and Mediterranean. The closing date for this year’s entries is Tuesday 31st July 2012.

Harry Dulai one of the World Foods Association’s founding supporters, said, “This event has proved an amazing success with our industry, quickly attracting the who’s who of the world food sector – a clear sign to me that an event to honour the achievements of this thriving sector was long overdue. By refining our existing categories and introducing new categories we hope that the World Food Awards will this year, receive even more entries.”

Star India enters into partnership with International Hockey Federation

Nitin Kukreja, head of sports business, Star India said, “Hockey is a priority sport for us and we are thrilled that India will host one key event every year during the eight year term. We believe that hosting an international event each year, which is produced innovatively, will significantly boost the popularity of hockey in India.”

STAR Sports to invest Rs 100 cr in hockey league

Nitin Kukreja, head of sports business, says, “This time we will be airing 24 matches in the prime time band at 8 pm. This is a learning from the previous season. Also, we had added some new features in the live telecast that should make for better and more interesting viewing.”

Star bags rights for hockey league

Star India has bagged the broadcasts rights from International Hockey Federation (FIH) in an eight-year deal.
