STAR WORLD celebrates International Women’s Day with a marathon session of 2 BROKE GIRLS.

6th March, 2014: Star World is all set to make women’s day extra special for its audiences with a special marathon session of everyone’s favourite independent ladies, Caroline and Max of the hit TV series, 2 broke girls. On the 8th of March viewers will get to sit through their favourite episodes of the show from 1 pm right uptil 7pm.

For all those pining for a re-union, here’s your chance to get your girl gang together and unwind as you follow the escapades of  two quirky waitresses- Max and Caroline. The show chronicles the topsy-turvy friendship of two young women, waiting tables at a greasy spoon diner and their grand plans of launching a successful business- albeit with a fair number of financial drawbacks. As the protagonists juggle it out, balancing dreams along with reality,the viewers can find amongst themselves a Max, point out who the Caroline in the gang is and take notes on being an independent 21st century woman from the characters of the hit sitcom.

The women’s day special episode marathon spans six fun-filled hours spells full-blown girl powered entertainment. So huddle up with your BFF’S, grab some icecream and candy, get high on the gossip and giggles as you celebrate wacky womanhood with STAR WORLD.

Nikhil Madhok, Head Marketing & Content Strategy, Star Plus said, "In India, the number of potential first time voters during this election, is estimated at a massive 12 crores. In light of this, we at Star Plus, wanted to spread awareness about voting rights amongst first time voters and mobilize the youth. We want to encourage them to exercise their vote and contribute to the country’s progress. However a lot of them are still not aware the registration is an important prerequisite to voting.
