Starsports.com crosses Espncricinfo in October market share

Starsports.com said Thursday the digital service has overtaken EspnCricinfo in terms of overall reach for the month of October.
According to third party analytics platform comScore, Star Sports had 4.242 million viewers compared to 4.233m for Espncricinfo.
The comScore statistics also revealed Rohit Sharma's record-setting knock of 264 against Sri Lanka in a One-day International (ODI) at Eden Gardens recently garnered 3.6 million video views, becoming Starsports.com's highest number of video views on a single day for any sporting event.

Prem Kamath, channel head, Channel V, adds, "Participation has gone up by almost 100 per cent. We have had 500-600 participants earlier, this year we had about 1000 participants in each zonal."
