‘This love story from Delhi will connect with every heart in the country’

 STAR Plus launched one of its grand romantic sagas, ‘Dahleez’, on a lovely Delhi evening amidst music, dance and soulful entertainment. The show explores the worlds of two interesting personalities – Swadheenta Ramakrishnan, an aspiring lawyer from a South-Indian middle-class household and Adarsh Sinha, an idealistic IAS officer from a powerful and influential family. Premiering on March 14th, at 10:30 PM, the channel brings together Tridha Choudhury, a popular name in the Bengali film industry as Swadheenta and Harshad Arora the heart-throb of television as Adarsh in a never-seen-before love story.
Dahleez is a contemporary love story set against the backdrop of the power corridors of Delhi. The show will highlight Swadheenta and Adarsh’s different approaches towards the same cause. Adarsh has a clever tactic to fighting the evils of society; Swadheenta on the other hand is righteous and wants to help the poor. It is love at first sight for Adarsh but Swadheenta takes her own time to reciprocate. What happens when these two hearts cross paths forms the crux of the story.
Tridha and Harshad are supported by a stellar cast on the show. A powerhouse of talent, Meghna Malik makes her comeback and will be seen playing the role of Suhasini Sinha, Adarsh’s dynamic lawyer mother along with a very able cast comprising of Hunar Hale, Amit Behl and Aryan Pandit. The show is produced by Fortune Productions and Colosceum Media Pvt Ltd and is directed by renowned TV director, Rohit Raj Goyal.

We are confident about fulfilling their expectations with Dahleez.” Keeping in mind the scale of the show, the makers have shot it entirely at real attractions in Delhi such as Jama Masjid, Khan Market, Sainik Farms in Chhatarpur, the iconic India Gate and other interesting locations. ‘Jiya Re’ the special romantic track created for the show has already gained immense popularity with over 2.2 Million views on social media. The track has been composed by the talented Superbia Band, sung by Jubin Nautiyal and penned by legendary lyricist Sameer Anjaan.
