Ye Hai Mohabbatein to air at a dual time slot

~ The show to occupy Saraswatichandra’s time slot ~

Mumbai, 12th September 2014: They say every beautiful thing comes to an end and thus Television’s much talked about romantic saga Saraswatichandra is all set to bid adieu on 20th September. The show will be replaced by yet another immensely popular show Ye Hai Mohabattein.

Ye Hai Mohabbatein has kept the audiences glued for almost a year now and the enthusiasm amongst the viewers to watch the show seems to be on the rise with every passing day. The show has received tremendous response so far and the characters – Raman, Ishita & Ruhi have developed a cult fan base.

Speaking about the same, Mr. Nikhil Madhok, Senior VP Marketing & Content Strategy said, “Saraswatichandra which started with the promise of a great love story has now reached its logical conclusion and it’s time to bid farewell to the show. We’re not replacing the show with any new show but giving way to the ever popular and compelling show Ye Hai Mohabbatein; a story that has got the country pulsating.”

Ye Hai Mohabbatein, a show that recreated the combined magic of Star Plus and Ekta Kapoor on Indian television will now give viewers a chance to sample the show twice every Monday to Saturday at 7.30 pm and 11 pm.

Is the Media in trouble? Mumbai Press Club holds discussion on subject

Uday Shankar, Star India CEO said, “Just because the media has become capital-intensive, doesn’t mean that it has to compromise on your integrity. Every business has to have a value system, and the editor needs to be sensitive to that. Journalists need to wake up to the economic reality, and it can’t be denied. On the other hand, those who recognise that are willing to swing to the other extreme and do anything. That also is neither healthy nor sustainable.”

Channel V plans more events

Prem Kamath, channel head, Channel V, adds, "Participation has gone up by almost 100 per cent. We have had 500-600 participants earlier, this year we had about 1000 participants in each zonal."
